Privacy policy

Last updated: 11 October 2026

This policy explains what personal information Cris Car Detailing collects when you visit www.criscar.mobile, get in touch or book a detail, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it to what we need to quote for, carry out and follow up on your booking.

Who we are

Cris Car Detailing is a mobile car detailing service based in High Wycombe, working at customers’ homes and workplaces in High Wycombe and the surrounding areas. We are the controller of the personal information described here.

For anything about this policy or your information, contact us:

What we collect

When you send an enquiry through our website. The contact form asks for your name, email address, a subject and your message. Your message usually includes your vehicle, the service you want and where you are.

When you contact us by phone, WhatsApp, Instagram or email. We see your phone number or account name and whatever you send us, such as messages and photos of your vehicle.

When you book. We keep your name, contact details, the address where we will carry out the work, your vehicle details (make, model and sometimes the registration), the service booked, any notes about access, water or power at your location, and what you paid.

Photos of our work. We like to photograph the cars we work on. We only share photos of your vehicle on our website or social media with your agreement, and we hide or avoid number plates and anything else that identifies you. Tell us at any time if you would like a photo taken down.

When you browse the website. Like most websites, our servers record basic technical information for security and to keep the site working, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. We also use cookies, explained below.

How we use it, and why we are allowed to

  • To reply to your enquiry, give you a quote and arrange your booking. This is needed to take steps you have asked for before entering into a contract, and then to carry it out.
  • To carry out the work at your location and contact you about it, for example if the weather means we need to rearrange. This is needed to perform our contract with you.
  • To keep business and tax records. We have a legal obligation to keep accounting records.
  • To keep the website secure and protect our enquiry form from spam. This is in our legitimate interests.
  • To show photos of our work. We rely on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

We do not sell your information, and we do not send marketing messages unless you have asked us to.

Who we share it with

We only share your information with services that help us run the business, and only as much as they need:

  • Website hosting. Our website and enquiry form are hosted in the UK (London) on Google Cloud, managed by our web host.
  • Email delivery. Messages sent through the enquiry form are delivered to our inbox by an email delivery service.
  • Google reCAPTCHA. Our enquiry form uses Google reCAPTCHA to tell people from spam bots. It collects information about your device and how you use the page, and sends it to Google. Google’s use of this information is covered by the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
  • Google Analytics. If you accept statistics cookies, we use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful. It records information such as the pages you view, roughly where you are and the device you use, and Google keeps it for up to 14 months. If you decline, it is not loaded. See the Google Privacy Policy.
  • WhatsApp and Instagram (Meta). If you contact us this way, your messages are handled under WhatsApp’s and Instagram’s own privacy policies.
  • Our accountant and HMRC, where needed for our accounts and tax.

Some of these providers may process information outside the UK. Where they do, they use the safeguards UK data protection law requires, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or the UK–US data bridge.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that do not lead to a booking: up to 12 months, so we can pick up the conversation if you come back to us.
  • Booking and payment records: six years from the end of the tax year they relate to, as required for tax purposes.
  • Photos of our work: until you ask us to remove them.
  • Website server logs: a short period, usually no more than a few weeks.

Cookies

Cookies are small files a website stores on your device. We use cookies that are strictly necessary for the website to work and to remember your cookie choices. Google reCAPTCHA also sets cookies to protect our enquiry form from spam. We only use other cookies, such as Google Analytics for measuring visits, if you agree to them in our cookie banner.

You can change your choices at any time using the button below.

The cookies currently used on this website are listed below.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the information we hold about you;
  • ask us to correct anything that is wrong;
  • ask us to delete your information, unless we have to keep it, for example for tax records;
  • object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use it;
  • withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on it;
  • ask us to pass your information to another organisation, where this applies.

To use any of these rights, email info@criscar.mobile. We will reply within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time, for example if we start using a new service. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
